Washington Consulting unveils health IT tool for revenue management
The consulting company says that its Revenue Cycle Management tool will handle revenue cycle processes from patient admission through to claims payment. As many healthcare providers reportedly lose revenue in various stages of this process - whether through claims denials or other inefficiencies - the tool will help them streamline this process and cut out wasteful elements.
"This is a win-win solution for everyone - healthcare providers can gain an increase in approved claims and revenue and patients may endure less paperwork and fewer healthcare denials," explained Marty Brennan, Washington Consulting's president.
Part of the tool will be Patient Access Services, which promises to speed admission and increase the accuracy of patient information. The Encounter Management components will integrate the patient's electronic medical record into the revenue cycle to accurately reflect services provided and the Patient Financial Services component of the tool promises to improve claims processing and decrease denials.
