Two D.C. executives team up to launch CrossCountry Consulting
Partners Dave Kay and Erik Linn announced that the new firm, which will be based out of Tysons Corner, Virginia, will provide financial transformation, accounting advisory, litigation consulting, risk management and auditing services.
Linn said the timing is perfect to offer more financial and accounting services for businesses rebounding from the economic downturn.
"The recovering economy has led to the return of the IPO market as well as a surge in M&A activity, both of which drive demand for consulting firms with a deep knowledge of the finance function," Linn added. " In addition, the financial crisis has left a tremendous volume of litigation in its wake that is just beginning to work its way through the legal system. In both cases, clients need a partner that can provide a unique blend of critical skills to help drive successful project outcomes."
Linn is the former leader of Navigant Consulting's Financial Services Practice. He also founded Capital Advisory Services in 1999, which was sold to Navigant in 2004.
Kay is the former managing partner of Arthur Andersen's Mid Atlantic Services Practice. He currently serves on the board of Chevy Chase Bank.
