O'Pry launches new healthcare IT consulting company
O'Pry said the new healthcare consulting firm will focus on information technology, vendor strategy, EMR/EHR plans and financial structure.
In 1992, O'Pry founded J.R. O'Pry Consulting, which provided implementation services to more than 250 hospitals across the country. He founded IntraNexus in 2001, a healthcare software and services company.
O'Pry said he formed his new company, which will be based in Virginia Beach, to leverage resources from his years of experience in the healthcare consulting field.
"I started HIT Strategists to return to what I enjoyed most – healthcare IT consulting. I believe the market is still in need of experienced allies to help evaluate and choose new technology, design new process and work flows and effectively implement major HIT vendor solutions," Rick O’Pry noted.
HIT's services will include strategic planning, IT assessment, outsourcing, gap analysis and procurement.
