Manpower named most admired company in temp help sector

Published by: Brafton | Post a Comment
Manpower Incorporated, a human resources consulting and staffing firm, has recently been named the nation's Most Admired Company in 2011 by Fortune Magazine. It is reportedly the ninth consecutive year that Manpower has made it to the magazine's list of most admired firms in the industry.

"Manpower is uniquely qualified to help clients and candidates navigate the Human Age by combining our extensive global reach and local expertise, our suite of innovative workforce solutions and services, and our insight into the implications of the Human Age for individuals and organizations," said Jeffrey A. Joerres, Manpower chairman and chief executive officer (CEO).

The Human Age Joerres referred to is a concept developed by Manpower - at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in January, the company reportedly argued that access to talent is taking the place of access to capital as the determinant of whether businesses succeed or fail. The company reportedly strives to meet the demands created by the resulting "war for talent" by providing its brand of workforce solutions and human resources consulting.

According to the company website, Manpower was founded in 1948 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It currently has 4,000 offices in 82 countries and territories worldwide, which serve the needs of 400,000 clients annually.
