Hogan Assessment Systems unveils executive coaching platform
The tool, named Leadership Formula, uses Hogan's personality assessment system to identify worker-specific career and performance risks to accelerate professional development and encourage strategic self-awareness for the employee and boost productivity for the employer. The tool can also reportedly be used to teach executives coaching skills necessary for identifying, retaining and developing workforce talent.
"We equip participants to be their own coach," said Marty Seldman, president at Seldman Learning. "This eliminates the need for costly external coaches and gives them the tools to identify and develop the potential of their team."
Hogan already has several clients using Leadership Formula, including DirecTV and PepsiCo. Spokesmen for both firms say the tool has helped their talent development efforts.
Earlier this year, Hogan boosted its human resources consulting capabilities by appointing psychometrician Paul Barrett as the company's chief research scientist, according to Chief Learning Officer magazine. In this position, he was reportedly assigned to assist with product development and to use Hogan's data sets to detect previously unknown relationships between personality and job performance.
