Former COO launches management consulting firm AE Guidance LLC

The former chief operating officer and president of Gresham Smith and Partners, Everett Cowan, recently announced that he has launched a new management consulting firm for clients in the engineering and architecture (A&E) industries.

The new venture, which was initiated with the help of Nashville-based management consulting firm Compass Executives, will provide strategic management advice to engineering and architecture firms seeking to advance their positions in their respective markets, the Nashville Business Journal reports. Clients that work with AE Guidance will also have access to the expertise of senior management professionals in the A&E fields as well as to consulting services in finance, information technology, human resources and marketing.

"Clients should see us as trusted, on-call advisors providing insightful direction to help cultivate opportunities and overcome obstacles. I look forward to drawing on my experiences in the A&E industry to help promising businesses achieve their goals," Cowan said.

Prior to this start-up, Cowan had worked with Gresham, Smith and Partners for more than 21 years, and had served as the company's president and COO for eight years, according to the news source.
