Economic consulting firm NERA announces officer promotions

NERA Economic Consulting recently announced that it will be promoting two of its consultants to the position of vice president, one from the company's Tokyo office, and the other from its Washington, D.C. location.

Dr. Hiroaki Ishigaki serves the consulting company's global antitrust, competition and transfer pricing division in NERA's Tokyo office. He specializes in economic analysis of a number of antitrust issues, including mergers, monopolization, predatory pricing and cartels.

Christopher Laursen is based in Washington, D.C., and works for NERA's global securities and finance practice. He has expertise in financial products and markets as well as financial regulation and risk management. He has been employed with NERA since 2009 - prior to that, he served the regulation division of the Federal Reserve Board as the manager of risk policy and guidance.
