DataFlux announces acquisition of Baseline Consulting
Baseline focuses on technical implementation of a variety of service areas related to business-enhancing data management, including warehousing, integration and governanance. DataFlux has focused on helping its clients derive value from data.
The acquisition is reportedly a move to meet a market demand for "lifecycle" data management services. As Baseline Consulting offers data management services and DataFlux offers technologies to maximize the value of data, the acquisition is expected to provide both companies' clients with a more complete data consulting menu.
"By adding Baseline to the DataFlux team, we are adding more than a group of consultants to serve our customers. We are adding a wealth of expertise that can help us meet the demand for more complete and focused data management solutions in the future," said Tony Fisher, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of DataFlux.
"Calling this a 'win-win' would be a bit trite," Baseline Partner and co-founder Jill Dyché explained. "I'd call it a 'win-win-win-win' - since not only Baseline and DataFlux benefit from the acquisition, but so do two sets of forward-thinking customers. It really lets us offer data management services and solutions across the delivery spectrum."
