Clayton Holdings forms financial consulting group
ABS will be a financial analysis and consulting firm with a specialty in providing litigation support to clients that are facing legal challenges linked to complex asset holdings. The new subsidiary, which will be based in New York City, will provide valuation of certain complex assets and securities that were sold prior to the credit crisis, as well as other asset valuations relating to mergers and acquisitions.
Clayton has also recently hired three professionals to lead the new financial consulting practice. Two of them, David M. Lehman II and Florin Nedelciuc, will be joining Clayton from Navigant Economics, a subsidiary of Navigant Consulting that provides economic and financial analysis for clients in a variety of sectors, according to the Navigant website. Tyler T. Simpson comes to Clayton from Pentalpha Capital Group, where he was the head of residential capital markets.
"We are pleased to add David, Florin and Tyler to the Clayton team. There is a critical need for independent valuation and analysis of complex financial instruments. … In addition, as the securitization markets recover, we expect David, Florin and Tyler to significantly enhance the depth of Clayton's offerings and advisory services," said Paul Bossidy, chief executive officer (CEO) of Clayton Holdings.
