Arabella Advisors buys Blueprint Research to expand philanthropic projects
The company said the deal will allow it to create a broader strategic philanthropic platform and an expanded West Coast team.
Arabella has more than 20 clients in the Washington D.C. area, mostly foundations and individual philanthropic donors, and has worked with the Annie E. Casey Foundation's disaster relief fund and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in the past.
Blueprint helps design financial strategies for philanthropic endeavors, including the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundations's youth and digital media project, a three year collaborative that explores how kids use digital media on a day-to-day basis.
Blueprint founder Lucy Bernholz said the deal will help create a new model for philanthropic consulting.
"We share Arabella's entrepreneurial spirit and a common vision of driving informed philanthropic investments that solve problems and bring about measurable change."
The companies will now operate under the Arabella name. Integration of staff and services is expected to take place over the next few months.
