Top 10 Internships 2011
Which internships are the best? Each year, Vault's editors evaluate hundreds of internship programs and select ten internships that we feel provide the best all-around experience. Many factors are considered: mentorship availability, career advancement opportunities, intern involvement/capacity for learning, compensation, perks, industry clout and work culture. Using these as benchmarks, we chose, this year, from a pool of 821 programs to arrive at the ten best companies to intern for.
Our editors also recognize that there are many different kinds of internship programs, each with its own unique benefits. So, apart from the top all-around internships, we also selected the top ten internships in five distinct categories: finance, nonprofit, creative/liberal arts, unusual experiences, and perks.
