If you find yourself glued to the screen playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, designing innovative game strategies to lead your squad to victory all while imagining yourself in real-life combat situations, then a military career might be in your future. In reality, possible military careers can range far beyond the field of combat, from nursing to information technology. The decision to join the military can be both exciting and daunting. And while the job is demanding, a military career can open up doors in the private sector, leading to opportunities for those with interests in, among many other areas, law, medicine, finance, public affairs and media, and even meteorology. For every career path, the military may offer a destination for you to achieve your goals.
