Welcome to the sixth edition of Vault's Law School Buzz Book. In this unique guide, we publish extended excerpts from surveys of students and alumni at more than 150 top law schools to bring you the inside scoop on the specific programs. The survey comments cover the following areas:
- Admissions
- Academics
- Employment prospects
- Quality of life
- Social life
The guide is intended to serve as a complement to other references to law schools currently available that utilize school-reported data. Unlike those guides, Vault's Buzz Books (which also include The Business School Buzz Book and College Buzz Book) are composed almost entirely of information provided directly to Vault by students and alumni. (We asked schools to comment on the surveys after they were collected; this process is detailed later in this introduction.)
New this year! Because of the economy, we've added information about current law school and law industry trends in the introduction of the guide. We've also expanded the employment prospects section of each profile to give you more of what students and alumni are saying about the current job market and what schools are doing to help.
