Welcome to the fourth edition of the
Vault Guide to the Top 50 UK Law Firms, the most comprehensive insider guide to the top law firms in the country. The guide includes profiles of more than 100 law firms and a ranking of the 50 most prestigious firms in the UK, based on responses to our annual Solicitor Survey. You will find firm news, recruitment and salary information, office locations and practice areas, as well as direct quotes from practising lawyers and trainee solicitors about what it’s really like to work at their firms. We invited 110 of the most respected law firms in the country to distribute our survey to qualified lawyers and trainees. Responses from more than 2,300 lawyers and trainees at 59 law firms were compiled to build our law firm rankings and employer profiles. Lawyers were asked to rank their peer firms based on prestige and their own firms with respect to various aspects of firm life. We took those scores and calculated the Vault Prestige, Practice Area and Quality of Life Rankings. Comments from lawyers and trainees were also incorporated into the firm profiles.
At a time of turmoil in the economy generally and the legal industry in particular, savvy jobseekers will want to take advantage of every resource at their disposal.
