The Vault Guide to the Top 50 Accounting Firms rates approximately 75 firms with significant accounting operations in North America. We chose to include these firms based on previous Vault surveys, which gauged opinions of industry insiders, as well as on various factual data, including annual revenues and number of employees.
The firms we identified were all asked to distribute our online survey to their accounting professionals. The survey consisted of questions about life at employees' firm or former firm, along with a prestige rating. Survey participants were asked to comment on qualifications the firm looks for in new employees, specific tips on getting hired, firm culture, hours worked, relations with managers, compensation, training, diversity hiring practices and more.
Included in the guide is the latest Vault Accounting 50,a ranking compiled using a weighted formula that reflects the issues job seekers care about most. This ranking showcases the accounting firms that are deemed the Best to Work For.
