Now in its 15th edition, the Vault Guide to the Top 100 Law Firms is the most comprehensive, candid, up-to-date guide to the top law firms.
The Vault Guide to the Top 100 Law Firms features a ranking of the nation’s most prestigious law firms, as well as practice area, regional, quality of life, diversity and summer associate program rankings. The guide provides a glimpse of life inside BigLaw, with detailed profiles of the Vault Law 100 firms. Our in-depth entries feature contact and salary information, perks, major practice areas, firm overviews, quotes from firm insiders and more.
Vault’s law firm associate survey continues to attract more and more respondents, making our rankings and profiles more comprehensive than ever. In 2012, nearly 17,000 associates from across the country took our survey, ranking their peer law firms based on overall, regional and practice area prestige (associates were asked only to rank those firms with which they were familiar, and could not rank their own firm). Those ratings formed the bases for the Vault Law 100 and our regional and practice area rankings.
We also asked associates to comment on and rank their own law firms in terms of satisfaction, hours, compensation, associate/partner relations, selectivity in hiring, pro bono, business outlook and other factors. From this data, we calculated an array of "Quality of Life" rankings, including our “Best Law Firms to Work For."
Use our prestige, practice area, regional, quality of life, summer associate and diversity rankings to identify the firms that are most attractive to you, and then read our profiles to get the inside scoop on your target firms.
