Europe: UK Law Firm Rankings 2012: The Best Law Firms in Each Practice Area
In addition to overall prestige, Vault also asked lawyers to select the strongest firms in 14 practice areas: Antitrust/Competition, Banking, Capital Markets, Corporate, Insolvency/Restructuring, Intellectual Property, Labour & Employment, Litigation, Mergers & Acquisitions, Private Equity, Project Finance, Property, Tax and Technology. Lawyers were allowed to vote for up to three firms as the best in each area but were not permitted to vote for their own firm.
The charts indicate the rankings in each practice area, along with the total percentage of votes cast in favour of each firm. (As long as at least one lawyer voted for more than one firm, no firm could get 100 per cent of the votes; if every lawyer had voted for the same three firms, for example, the maximum score would be 33.33 per cent.)
