The Scoop
The Arab American Institute was created in 1985 to represent the governmental interests of the Arab community and to encourage Arab American participation and interest in politics, government and research. The institute also serves as an organized forum for domestic and foreign issues. AAI maintains a direct liaison to the Arab American congressional delegation and functions as a resource for U.S. policy makers on a range of Arab American concerns, including post-September 11 discrimination, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, civil liberties, immigration and global terrorism.
