Founded in 1969 by economist Reed Irvine, Accuracy in Media is a nonprofit, grassroots organization that seeks to monitor media bias in television news, radio shows, newspapers and print magazines. The organization publishes the AIM Report, a bimonthly newsletter for its members, broadcasts a “Media Monitor” podcast, syndicates a newspaper column and runs a national speakers bureau. With fewer than 10 full-time staff members, AIM is a small organization with a wide reach.
