Founded in 1943 by a family of German immigrants, Jo-Ann Stores, Inc. can trace its roots back to a tiny cheese shop in Cleveland. In just 25 years time, the business ran 169 stores in 28 states and became a publicly traded company on the NYSE. Jo-Ann continues to inspire people all over the country to create arts and crafts, providing them with the tools that fuel this traditional pastime. Today, Jo-Ann Stores have 20,000 full-time employees.
