Today it is known for its variety of wireless technologies (the firm pioneered CDMA cell phones) and for licensing its inventions for use all over the world. The company has over 15,000 employees and offers internet and wireless technologies to civilians and government agencies alike. For 11 years in a row, QUALCOMM has been named one of Fortune magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For,” coming in at No. 16 in 2009.
