The product of a 1938 merger, Owens Corning is a world leader in building materials—glass fiber technology in particular. The company provides products and services ranging from insulation, roofing, siding and manufactured stone veneer to glass composite materials used in transportation, electronics, telecommunications and other high-performance applications. OC has also achieved many of its sustainability goals, from reducing its carbon footprint to working with President Obama on his HOMESTAR Legislation. A Fortune 500 company for over 50 consecutive years, Owens Corning emerged from Chapter 11 in October 2006, and currently has 16,000 employees.
