Nickelodeon is the kid and family branch of MTV Networks and basic cable’s No. 1 network. It reaches more than 96 million U.S. households, which is more than all three major networks—CBS, NBC and ABC—combined. Related channels include Nick Jr. (for the toddler set), Nick at Nite and TV Land. Nickelodeon Animation Studios creates, develops and produces various cartoons, including the popular Spongebob Squarepants, The Fairly OddParents, The Penguins of Madagascar, Dora the Explorer and many more.

Nickelodeon Animation Studio hires interns in a variety of departments, including animation development and current series, animation production, business and legal affairs, CG, human resources, internet services & technology, post production, research and development, special events, and talent and casting. Interns tasks include attending and taking notes at writers’ meetings, completing storyboard breakdowns, putting together storyboard/model packets, setting up storyboard pitches, and working on script coverage. Interns are provided with ample opportunities to network through weekly lunches with executives and artists, Nick events and film festivals, and a field trip to MTV Networks. They can also take the highly coveted Nickelodeon Studio Tests and receive feedback. And, for those seeking employment after the program, interns receive entry-level job openings prior to their official posting.
