Founded in 1976, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (“MFA”) is home to more than 400,000 pieces of art. With more than one million visitors each year, the museum features everything from calligraphy to ceramics to jewelry to musical instruments to paintings and drawings to photography to sculptures to textiles to wood carvings, and more. Some recent exhibitions at the museum include Art of the White Mountains; Cats to Crickets: Pets in Japan’s Floating World; Dancing with Renoir; Jewels, Gens, and Treasures: Ancient to Modern; Manet in Black. MFA has also recently opened two new wings: Art of the Americas Wing and Linde Family Wing for Contemporary Art.
