Jacob’s Pillow Dance is a dance center located in Massachusetts’ Berkshires region and is a National Historic Landmark with dance archives. Celebrating its 80th year in 2012, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival features performers from around the globe--along with talks, exhibits, and other events--from June to August. Jacob’s Pillow also offers dance classes for professional-track dancers at The School at Jacob’s Pillow, as well as lessons for community members and visitors. Its mission is to “support dance creation, presentation, education, and preservation; and to engage and deepen public appreciation and support for dance.” In 2011, Jacob’s Pillow received the National Medal of Arts.

Jacob’s Pillow offers internships during its annual festival in the summer and in the off season. Summer interns work on projects relating to the dance archives, community programs, festival, and school. Off-season interns focus on a range of areas, including audience engagement, education, and preservation. Interns are valuable additions to the team and take on real responsibilities.
