The company sells products internationally under the brand names Caltex, Havoline and Delo, with a main focus on developing additives, aviation products, chemicals, lubricants, marine products, fuels, power services, specialty products and energy services. Based in Northern California and Houston, Texas, the company’s roots stem from an 1876 oil discovery at Pico Canyon, near Los Angeles, Calif., and an 1879 discovery in Texas. Today, Chevron employs approximately 64,000 people worldwide.
