Dean Woo has appointed a full-time officer of diversity, Ramachandran Ramanan, who monitors hiring efforts and outcomes. In addition, Ramanan meets with department chairs and also holds diversity events annually with students. He meets with student clubs as well.
MBA program provides a four-day orientation program for international students. The new faculty orientation at the Mendoza College of Business includes a diversity training module. The MBA Diversity Weekend for potential minority students has been held six out of last seven years.
Mendoza College of Business has had a relationship with NSHMBA for more than 10 years. The Notre Dame Society of Hispanic MBAs is active and prominent on campus. The school also houses Gigot Center for Entrepreneurial Studies Mexico Intern Program, which places students in internships south of the border.
