The business school embraces the university’s statement of mission with respect to diversity, which emphasizes our responsibility to serve diverse populations inclusive of ethnicity, economic backgrounds, religion, gender and educational interests and goals.

St. John’s University and its Tobin College of Business are well known for their history of providing opportunities to minorities and to those whose economic circumstances might otherwise make attainment of a college education impossible. Annually, the board of trustees of the university specifically mandates the university to serve specific populations and to ensure that they will be able to attend the university through special financial aid arrangements that extend to the college of business.
