Your Career at Blackwell Sanders LLP
Value-added client service
Our clients tell us that what sets us apart from other law firms is our desire to partner with our clients to clearly identify and define their goals, prepare and coordinate budgets, and achieve their business objectives in the deal room or the courtroom. br>
Promising career path
We have established an innovative approach to associate advancement, compensation, and career development. In our Level System, each associate's professional development through four levels toward partnership is determined by the skills they develop and the work ethic and quality of work they demonstrate. Associates are promoted through the levels and eligible for partnership as soon as they are ready, rather than on a lockstep, class-by-class basis. br>
Training
Associates benefit from a variety of in house training programs that focus not only on substantive legal skills and techniques, but also a broader range of skills in such critical areas as organization, time management, planning, presentation techniques, writing, supervision and leadership, technology, matter management, client relationship building and business development. br>
Location, Location, Location
The Midwest has consistently attracted Fortune 500 companies and very successful entrepreneurs because of the strong local economy, the quality of life, the very affordable cost of living, and the large skilled workforce. br>
Commitment to our Communities
Our lawyers are actively involved in hundreds of non-profit and civic organizations. Our firm has made multi-year financial commitments to Legal Aid of Western Missouri, Legal Services for Eastern District of Missouri, Legal Services of Southern Missouri and Legal Services of Nebraska. We set records with our individual and firm commitments to the United Way in Kansas City, St. Louis and Springfield, Missouri and in Omaha, Nebraska. We continued our strong support to the arts and culture in our communities by giving to organizations such as the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Ard, the St. Louis Art Museum, Kansas City Public Library, Omaha Opera and children's programming for KCPT Public Television. br>
