How do I apply? 
Please navigate to the "How to Apply" page on the website: www.baml.com/campusEMEA. All applications for positions must be made online; CVs are not accepted for analyst roles. For MBA & PhD positions, you are required to upload your CV and cover letter. We encourage candidates to apply early. 

What are the requirements to be considered for campus opportunities? Each business area has individual requirements, but candidates must demonstrate a combination of academic aptitude, quantitative skills, strategic and creative thinking, and written and oral communications skills. In addition, you must have obtained or are realistically expecting to obtain a minimum 2:1 degree or equivalent for analyst roles. For MBA & PhD positions, completion of an MBA, PhD or equivalent advanced degree is required. Underlying all this, you must demonstrate dedication to a career in banking. 

When does Bank of America Merrill Lynch recruit students for full-time opportunities?
Bank of America Merrill Lynch recruits for full-time opportunities in September, October and November for placement the following June, July or September. 

When does Bank of America Merrill Lynch recruit students for internship opportunities?
Bank of America Merrill Lynch recruits for internship opportunities in December, January and February for a summer placement. 

How can I decide what programme is best for me?

What academic background are you looking for in candidates?
We recruit from all degree disciplines. Strong academic qualifications are important, as are initiative, strategic and creative thinking, communication skills and a genuine interest in the financial markets. For quantitative positions, strong mathematical and analytical skills are required. 

Can I apply to multiple offices and divisions?
No – only in exceptional circumstances. 

Are positions available globally, and who is eligible to fill them?
Bank of America Merrill Lynch is a global company with offices in more than 40 countries worldwide. You may apply to the Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific regions. 

Can I defer an offer?
No. Bank of America Merrill Lynch does not currently offer you the chance to defer. 

If I applied last year, can I apply again this year?
Yes – you may apply to one office and one division per year. If you are declined for the summer programme, you can re-apply for the full-time programme the following year. 
I graduated last year – am I eligible to apply for a Summer Internship?
No – you must be in your penultimate year of study to be eligible to apply for a summer internship. 

If I apply for a position in the Americas or Asia Pacific region, would I attend an assessment centre and interview here in London?
In some circumstances, you are able to be interviewed in London in person. Alternatives are a telephone/video interview. 

When will I hear from Bank of America Merrill Lynch following submission of my application?
We receive a very high volume of applications and endeavour to contact candidates as soon as possible once a decision has been made. You may receive a notification by email or one of our recruiters will contact you to update you on your application. 

Do you offer internships at other times of the year than summer?
Yes, we have a number of fixed term placements in various offices in the region. These positions are recruited for throughout the year depending on business needs and vary in length, usually from 3 to 12 months. 

I would like to make changes to my application, but have already submitted it?
Once you have submitted your application, you can not make amends yourself. If changes are essential, please contact the campus recruitment team to discuss.
