Highlights Paul Hastings LLP
Our Firm
Paul Hastings is ranked among the global elite, reaching #2 on The American Lawyer’s prestigious 2012 A-List. The firm has received numerous recent accolades, including being ranked in the top 3 in the Financial Times “Innovative Lawyers Report” for the U.S., and ranked #2 for both Associate Satisfaction and Pro Bono by The American Lawyer.
Paul Hastings is entrepreneurial, business-focused, and committed to its clients, often choosing “the road less traveled” on our path to becoming a top international law firm. We entered new markets that evolved into global powerhouses, partnered with newly established clients that became world-leading companies, and developed new practices that enabled us to meet the growing needs of our clients. As a result, Paul Hastings lawyers have earned global recognition and the firm has quickly advanced from a mid-market U.S. national law firm to an international global leader — one recognized for the quality of our practice, breadth of our client base, and range of our capabilities worldwide.
In 2011, Paul Hastings celebrated 60 years of client service excellence. We achieved this milestone thanks to a clear vision of our purpose and goals, a confident and unwavering commitment to our core principles and values, a diverse and dynamic culture, dedication to serving our clients, and unsurpassed legal expertise. Today, the firm continues to grow with the clients and markets we serve.

Our Commitment to Pro Bono
We encourage all our lawyers to participate in meaningful pro bono work, and every approved pro bono matter is given hour-for-hour credit against total billable hours. Our commitment is considerable: in 2011, over 98 percent of our U.S.-based lawyers dedicated 20 hours or more to pro bono work. Globally, we engaged in a broad range of pro bono activities and contributed more than $60 million to charity, most of which was in the form of in-kind services donated to a variety of nonprofit and community organizations.
Recent examples of accolades for our firm's outstanding commitment to pro bono work include:
