Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation
The attorneys and other professionals in Morgan Lewis’s Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Practice use their skills as counselors, strategists, and problem solvers to assist clients in finding creative solutions to their employee benefit–related business challenges. Our clients range from small, middle-market and Fortune 500 companies to financial institutions—insurance companies, banks, mutual fund complexes, investment advisers, and broker-dealers—as well as start-ups, tax-exempt organizations, educational institutions, and state or local governments. Our clients benefit from the strategic insight of a number of high-level government agency alumni, including former IRS, Department of Labor, and SEC officials who were involved in employee benefit plan and related regulation and enforcement while with the federal government.
When necessary, we also team with a broader interdisciplinary group of firm colleagues who have employee benefits–specific backgrounds in other substantive areas of law. This group includes attorneys from our Securities Practice, who provide guidance on issues related to the registration and issuance of securities under employee benefit plans and compensation arrangements; our ERISA litigators, who assist with unique issues arising from benefit-related lawsuits; our Global Outsourcing group, which focuses on benefit-related outsourcing arrangements; our Labor and Employment Practice, which assists on a wide array of federal and state labor and employment matters; and our Investment Management lawyers, who bring to bear critical knowledge of federal and state investment rules.
