A Global Platform
| |
We are a fully-integrated, global law firm that values and fosters our “one-firm” culture. With approximately 2,000 lawyers in 30 offices, Latham & Watkins has expertise spanning the major legal jurisdictions and business centers of the world. Because no single office serves as a headquarters for the firm, our leadership is spread across the globe and we maintain an international and team-oriented focus. Our attorneys collaborate by sharing information and resources, and build cross-office teams that bring the right talent and expertise to address our clients’ needs, regardless of geography. This global platform also facilitates our role among the world’s largest providers of pro bono legal services and keeps us at the forefront of efforts to develop activities in regions where the concept of pro bono is relatively new. Commitment to Diversity & Pro Bono Service
| |
Latham & Watkins is committed to attracting lawyers who reflect the best in the profession, increasing our diversity at all levels.
Each year, Latham participates in a number of diversity job fairs and recruitment programs, hosts receptions for minority law students, sponsors events for various student organizations and partners with minority bar associations to host and sponsor events. |
|
We increased our efforts to improve the pipeline of diverse attorneys in the legal profession by expanding our Diversity Scholars Program, which awards six second-year law students at ABA-accredited law schools a $10,000 non-renewable scholarships. Through the Latham & Watkins Law Preview Diversity Scholarship, we help students get off to a strong start during their first year of law school by attending Law Preview’s week-long law school preparation program. In addition, we partner with Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO) to host its interns in our offices. SEO organizes internships for talented, underrepresented students of color who have been accepted to top law schools. |

Pro bono is a hallmark of our firm culture. We award hour for hour credit for pro bono matters with no cap.
