In 2008, Rothstein Kass was ranked the No. 1 accounting firm for hedge funds by Alpha magazine, a sister publication of Institutional Investor. The annual rankings are based on feedback from hedge fund managers, who in this most recent survey gave Rothstein Kass the highest score in each of the following categories ? audit, regulatory and compliance, client service and hedge fund expertise ? allowing the firm to easily outdistance all of its competitors, including the Big Four.

Rothstein Kass' employees praise the firm in the area of managers' treatment of juniors, describing senior staff as "very encouraging" with a real desire to "want employees to succeed."
