Highlights Accenture

Accenture is one of the world’s leading management consulting, technology services and outsourcing companies with more than 215,000 people serving clients in 120 countries.  We have extensive relationships with the world's leading companies and governments and work with organizations of all sizes—including 94 of the Fortune Global 100 and more than three quarters of the Fortune Global 500.

Creating value for our clients

At Accenture, we are committed to delivering tangible business outcomes for our clients—not just reports—drawing upon our industry and business expertise, and the collective knowledge of our people.  We work collaboratively with our clients, often integrating seamlessly with their teams—it is often difficult to see where our team stops and the client team starts given how closely we work together. We are about nurturing the kinds of long-term executive relationships that make our day-to-day work more rewarding rather than one-off transactions.

Leading the industry

Companies turn to Accenture because of our unparalleled experience, comprehensive capabilities across all industries and business functions, and extensive research on the world’s most successful companies. We are a trusted provider, with a proven track record of transformational projects and client satisfaction.  That’s why of Accenture’s top 100 clients, 99 have been clients for at least five years and 91 have been clients for at least 10 years.

For over 20 years, we have consistently produced solid financial results in both good times and bad, generating net revenues of $21.6 billion last fiscal year (ended August 31, 2010). We have a history of driving innovation and spend approximately $250 million on research and development each year.

Driving high performance

While not widely known, Accenture heavily invests in ground breaking research. We have our own research institute—the Accenture Institute for High Performance—that develops and publishes practical insights into global economic trends and critical management issues such as globalization, macro-economic trends, changing workplace demographics and other topics of critical interest to our clients.  The Institute collaborates with top business schools and well-recognized experts on its research initiatives. Through our research, we are involved with the World Economic Forum, the World Business Council for Sustainable Development and the United Nations Global Contact, to name a few.

Developing our people

As a professional services firm, the success of our business begins and ends with our people. Ultimately, we strive to create a work environment and unique culture that enable our employees’ fullest professional growth and enhance their ability to deliver high performance to our clients, while managing their personal priorities as well. We are looking to shape our high flyers into the leaders of tomorrow, and are proud to be recognized for our commitment to leadership development. In 2011, Accenture was ranked No. 8 on Hay Group’s 2010 Best Companies for Leadership list, which marks Accenture’s third consecutive appearance on the list (2008-2010).

Building skills to succeed

In May 2009, we launched Skills to Succeed as a way to align our corporate citizenship activities strategically around a central focus: building skills that enable people to make a sustainable difference to their economic vitality, and to the economic vitality of their families and communities around the world. We also set a challenging goal for Accenture – to equip 250,000 people around the world with the skills to get a job or build a business by 2015.

We selected Skills to Succeed as the theme for our corporate citizenship focus because it resonates with who we are as a company. Developing the skill and talent of our people is at the heart of our business; it is what we do every day. And our commitment to using our skills to make a difference in the world is rooted in our history. In fact, our Accenture Development Partnerships was born out of the passion of our employees who wanted to make Accenture’s consulting skills affordable for non-profits.
