It seems that McGraw-Hill has made several attempts in the last few years to inject some diversity into its staff. However, one reporter notes that "most of the job candidates and employees are Caucasian. And, while the majority of employees are female, the vast majority of senior managers across the corporation are male." Another opines that it's because of the "very homogeneous industry." This worker has an opposing view: "The diversity is great, all cultures and preferences are embraced, or at least tolerated." One insider reports that the company's core information management business seems to increasingly require master's degrees, which reduces the options for some minority candidates.
