ABOUT THIS COMPANY:

To your health

Johnson & Johnson just wants you to feel better.  One of the largest, most diverse companies in the world, Johnson & Johnson, founded in 1886, is made up of three primary sectors—consumer products, medical devices and pharmaceuticals (its largest division)—within which there are more than 250 operating companies.  J&J’s consumer products, in addition to “No More Tears” shampoo and baby powder for the under-one set, include Splenda sweetener, Benecol spreads, Band-Aids, Rembrandt whitening toothpaste, Listerine mouthwash, and Aveeno, Clean and Clear and Neutrogena skin products.  Johnson & Johnson also manufactures Tylenol, Motrin and OneTouch blood glucose monitors.  Innovation has long been J&J’s specialty, and the company’s past is filled with significant creations, including the aforementioned Band-Aids, the Pap smear, the first tri-phasic birth control pill and, more prosaically, baby powder.
