SURVEY SAYS

First-class benefits, but long hours

Sources give the United States Postal Service mixed marks and one source even says that “everybody needs to pull their act together” if the department is to survive.  Most USPS respondents say they have a lot of work, and some report that they work long hours.  Managers wear business attire while the mail carriers have to wear uniforms.

Tips from the inside

Going Postal

The postal service routinely categorizes available job openings at its website and when Vault visited last, the current openings are for sales and marketing positions.  If you wish to apply for positions other than those in the category, you can browse the searchable job listing on the site (www.usps.com/employment).  Additionally, an applicant will need a valid email to access job tools and receive information regarding one’s application.

Should I go to Law School?
My time working at a law firm really hasn't convinced me that most of what lawyers do, especially at the more junior levels, really requires much intellectual creativity at all. So, the first part of my question is: how fair do you think this assessment is?This first question is really a subsidiary to the larger question I'm mulling over: should I go to law school?
