Latham & Watkins LLP Perspective
Latham & Watkins LLP HIGHLIGHTS
We are a fully-integrated, global law firm that values and fosters our “one-firm” culture. With approximately 2,000 lawyers in 30 offices, Latham & Watkins has expertise spanning the major legal jurisdictions and business centers of the world. Because no single office serves as a headquarters for the firm, our leadership is spread across the globe and we maintain an international and team-oriented focus. Our attorneys collaborate by sharing information and resources, and build cross-office teams that bring the right talent and expertise to address our clients’ needs, regardless of geography. This global platform also facilitates our role among the world’s largest providers of pro bono legal services and keeps us at the forefront of efforts to develop activities in regions where the concept of pro bono is relatively new.
Life at Latham
Associate Participation in Firm Management
Recognizing the value of teamwork and that broader input from attorneys at all levels results in better decisions, associates participate in many of the committees through which we manage our firm, including the Associates Committee—comprised of roughly half partners and half associates – which manages associate reviews, policies and bonus allocation, among other things. The Associates Committee also plays a pivotal role in partnership recommendations, thereby including associates in the partnership decision process.
