There’s plenty of freedom to get ahead at LarsonAllen, insiders say, because the firm “supports creativity and being a self-starter.” “It really is a wonderful environment to explore creativity,” a manager agrees. Several respondents say the “ability to guide your own career path in an entrepreneurial manner” was a big factor in their decision to accept LarsonAllen’s job offers. Although “there are one or two exceptions,” LarsonAllen principals and partners “are great” for the most part. And insiders generally agree that LarsonAllen is “a well-run firm” where everyone looks out for one another.

Beyond GPA

Recruiters at LarsonAllen “look at more than grades,” though “a strong academic standing” and a minimum of a 3.0 GPA in your major is required. Other criteria for getting hired include “internship experience and fit.” This can make candidates feel the pressure of the recruiting process. “I know a lot of people who interviewed with LarsonAllen and didn’t get in,” a current accountant admits. “I also didn’t think I’d get an offer myself.” Many insiders believe that LarsonAllen’s selectivity has increased as the firm has grown in recent years, too.
