Chevron’s employment-dedicated portal (careers.chevron.com) offers a bit more information than most corporate sites.  For starters, there’s a comprehensive list of career disciplines with detailed descriptions.  Chevron includes no fewer than 21 jobs and career tracks, each of which hosts a section relating to “who we hire/what you’ll do/where you’ll work.”  The section also presents video and text profiles of staffers, an overview of global operations, strategies for experienced workers, a schedule of recruiting events, details on internships, even a fairly engaging discussion on “Values and Culture.”  By the time all those have been absorbed, the job seeker will either be totally energized or fully exhausted.  Regardless, the database of available positions is searchable by location and job type.  Those interested in applying must first register on the site.
