Associate Life
Vault’s Verdict:
While good relations with partners have contributed to associates’ satisfaction, slowdowns in various departments have become a cause for concern.

Firm Culture & Associate Satisfaction:

• “It seems CWT is trying very hard to improve associate satisfaction and boost morale. Partners are friendlier and there are several initiatives to increase associate satisfaction.”  --junior associate
• “I really enjoy the people at the firm and have had the opportunity to work on some fantastic WSJ front page assignments. But due to the economy, my workflow has huge valleys and I cannot accurately answer this question. If my work was more consistent, I would rank this very high. But I don't want to give a low rating due to economic factors affecting everyone rather than a firm specific issue.--New York associate
• “Cutting edge work, great coworkers and all the responsibility you can handle - dream come true.”  --bankruptcy associate

Should I go to Law School?
My time working at a law firm really hasn't convinced me that most of what lawyers do, especially at the more junior levels, really requires much intellectual creativity at all. So, the first part of my question is: how fair do you think this assessment is?This first question is really a subsidiary to the larger question I'm mulling over: should I go to law school?
