Google's product and coverage is so revolutionary that there are probably only a few people on the planet who haven't heard of it. Google logs more than 30 billion searches worldwide per month and operates in 35 different languages. Founded in September 1998 by Sergey Brin and Larry Page, the company has a seemingly endless series of endeavors, from cell phones and sophisticated mapping options to a "green initiative" and social networks such as Orkut and Blogger. The company generates revenue primarily through its AdWords and AdSense programs, which offer keyword-targeted ads and ad sales or auctions to more than 200,000 affiliated websites.
