Made in the USAThe United States Steel Corporation, familiarly known as U.S. Steel, is an integrated steel producer with production facilities in the U.S. (obviously), Central Europe, Mexico and, as of its October 2007 purchase of Stelco, in Canada. The company has four main business units: flat-rolled products, U.S. Steel Canada (USSC, the former Stelco), U.S. Steel Europe (USSE) and tubular products. The company reports all of its other segments in the "other business" category. Industry trade group World Steel Association ranked U.S. Steel as the world's No. 10 (its most recent chart was compiled in 2007), but the company is also the top U.S. producer, with a capacity of approximately 32 million tons annually.
