ABOUT THIS COMPANY:

Behind the brand

If you've ever eaten Ben & Jerry's ice cream or used Dove soap, you've sampled a product of Unilever, the world’s third-largest consumer goods company in the world   Unilever's portfolio has around 400 food, home and personal care brands, while around 160 million people around the world buy these brands each day.  In the United Kingdom, nine out of 10 homes have at least one of Unilever's products in the bathroom or kitchen.  The company is parented jointly by Britain's Unilever plc and the Netherlands' Unilever N.V.  Both share the same board and executives but have separate stocks which trade in New York, Amsterdam and London.

Tips from the inside

Unite with Unilever

Unilever hosts dozens of career-related pages.  Other pages elaborate on what kind of people Unilever is looking for (qualified, with leadership skills, with passion and the usual) and what it's like to work for the company.  Several informative pages on nine potential careers at the company, including marketing, supply chain management, research and development, communications and customer development are also worth a look.  Once you've gone through the company's exhaustive explanation of what it's like to work there, you have to go to the careers site of your particular country or the one in which you want to work.
