The company was ranked No. 32 on the 2008 Fortune 500 list of largest companies and State Farm proved to be even “larger” when it rose to No. 31 on the 2009 edition of the aforementioned list. State Farm runs more than 755 claim offices countrywide to process the 71.6 million policies currently in force. State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company is the parent of several wholly owned subsidiaries, including State Farm Life Insurance Company, State Farm Fire and Casualty Company, State Farm Indemnity Company and State Farm General Insurance Company, among others.
