Public Service Enterprise Group Inc. (PSEG) is a publicly traded energy services company, operating through main subsidiaries Public Service Electric & Gas Company (PSE&G), PSEG Power and PSEG Energy Holdings.  PSE&G is New Jersey’s oldest and largest regulated gas and electric company, serving a 2,600-square-mile area that is the most heavily populated in the state, including Camden, Elizabeth, Jersey City, Newark, Paterson and Trenton.  Overall, PSEG powers about 70 percent of New Jersey and is one of the nation’s largest independent power producers, with 13,300 megawatts of operating generating capacity.  PSEG has three primary power production subsidiaries: PSEG Fossil, PSEG Nuclear and PSEG Energy Resources and Trade (ER&T).  PSEG Energy Holdings is made up of two main unregulated energy-related businesses, PSEG Resources and PSEG Global; the latter owns and operates domestic and international generation plants and distribution systems.  In 2008, the firm received the prestigious National Reliability Excellence Award for the third time and its seventh ReliablityOne Award.  PSEG’s revenue during 2008 was approximately $13.3 billion.
