Getting Hired

Tips from the inside

Live up to the standards

Want to work at LeBoeuf? You better have rocked the LSAT. "It's getting much tougher to get hired [here]," observes one source. "The firm is looking for big-name schools even though a lot of its most successful associates didn't come from big-name schools." "Personality counts as well as grades and the status of the school you attended," according to a lawyer. The firm "loves the Ivy League" and--no matter where you went to school--"journal experience is a big plus." "The firm seems to hire people with interesting pre-law school backgrounds," says a source. "Interviewers tend to look for personality, not just grades and school rank, though management is more credential conscious."
