Not just for jockeys

Kenosha, Wis.-based Jockey International has nothing to do with horses and everything to do with undergarments.  The privately held firm makes items such as underwear, sportswear, t-shirts, socks and gifts for men as well as active apparel, bras, hosiery, sleepwear and more for women.  It even has a line of products for kids.  The firm licenses and distributes its products in some 120 nations, and consumers can purchase Jockey’s goods over the Internet or at department stores such as Belk, Bloomingdale’s, JC Penney, Kohl’s and Macy’s.  As a privately held company, Jockey doesn’t disclose its revenue and earnings, but during 2007, Jockey’s revenue was estimated to be nearly $214 million.  The company employs about 5,000 people around the world.
