Honigman's hiring criteria include "superior law school achievement" and a "commitment to excellence," as well as "strong interpersonal skills, good judgment" and "prior work experience." The firm likes "self-starters" and shops for summer associates each fall at about a dozen law schools, ranging from local schools, such as the University of Michigan, Michigan State and Wayne State, to New York institutions like Cardozo Law School, Fordham University and NYU.
